Come with me as I take you through the three days leading up to my flight to Madrid! I had the amazing opportunity to travel abroad with Temple University in Oviedo, and before diving into the program, we got to spend an entire week exploring Madrid.
As a Nursing major and Spanish minor, I had so many expectations for myself on what I wanted to do on this trip. This came with a lot of anxiety in the beginning.
In the days before departure, I felt excitement but mostly nerves. I had to lean on every bit of experience I’ve gained from past travels. There were definitely some hiccups, like me arrive to my gate just a bit too ON time.
I hope that as you watch me prepare, you’re able to pick up some tips and tricks to help make your own journey smoother. Whether it’s organizing important documents, staying flexible, or keeping yourself busy when feeling a bit anxious. I hope you found something to take away from every step of the process. Traveling internationally can be overwhelming, but with the right mindset, you’ll be ready for anything. Let’s get into it > my final 72 hours before takeoff!
