Tinto de verano

Tinto de verano

It seems to be a common misconception about Spain that sangria is the “drink of Spain”, but that isn’t the case. “Tinto de verano” seems to be the preferred drink of the two, and it translates to “red wine of summer”. It’s so delicious that people can’t help but to drink it all throughout the year. Not to mention, it’s incredibly easy to make – it’s red wine mixed with “gaseosa” (a carbonated drink, with a flavor similar to 7-Up). Just add some fruit if you wish, and I promise it’ll become your new favorite drink!
