This past week at Casa de las Lenguas, we took a break from regularly scheduled classes to participate in several themed workshops, called talleres. I was placed in botany and photography (woo!) Here are some photos from our excursions around Oviedo:
Profesora Maria pointing out some nearby plants.
My group in photography had to find this exact location, Plaza de Santo Domingo, and recreate a photo from this same perspective taken over 50 years ago in Oviedo!
Students hanging out with some of the diverse plants and flowers at Parque San Francisco.
One of the gorgeous flowers at Parque San Franciso.
Sophomore Hannah grabbing some pictures for our presentation on botany.
Students enjoying some nice weather and botany!
Students appreciating nature, specifically this massive Sequoia tree in Parque San Francisco.
Every day, the date is etched into this section of grass at Parque San Francisco!
Senior Max posing for scale to show just how massive Sequoia trees are!
Students dancing several Spanish dances as part of the Baile tallere. On Friday, students from all different talleres gathered to present on their week’s work.
